another odd April question

Backstory: I called
7j today to complain of freezes, unrequested restarts, and odd error messages. She suggested that the inside of my computer might be dirty, and that this could be slowing down the fan. I aimed the back of the vaccuum towards the back of the case and ran it for a few minutes, and lo and behold, my computer is running so much better!

Date: 2007-04-26 01:08 am (UTC)Actually, I generally use compressed air for this rather than a vacuum cleaner. But yes, keep the innards clean. Heat can cause flaky behaviour, and/or dead components.
