what do you do with a naughty kitty?
Mar. 3rd, 2006 09:26 amActually, the question is about bored cats, but I wanted it to scan along with "Drunken Sailor."
Our more active cat is bored. Extremely bored. He no longer wants to play with his favorite toy. When he is bored, he acts out. He bites us, attacks his brother, etc.
We got him some new toys, and they've limited the waves of naughtiness... but not done much else. We can't let him outside because we live too close to Mass Ave.

Date: 2006-03-03 04:55 pm (UTC)I don't know about the biting though, because one of the ways we play with Theo is to wrestle his face around and let him try to bite us.
I see that it was mentioned above, and I do think that having a cat tree will help with the booooored kitty!
And yeah, most cats love catnip. It makes Theo staggery and stoned, but makes my mom's cat jump straight up into the air! :)

Our black cat, Zoey, also finds it just entrancing when I sweep the floor.

Date: 2006-03-04 04:28 am (UTC)but other than that....
we recently made a foil ball for them to play with, and they LOOOVE it. I'm pretty sure the crinkly sound makes them happy. catnip is good, too, and luckily there's 3 of us, here to play with them. we like to rile them up, snuggle them til they go beserk, and then throw a toy so they chase it. then, it's rampaging for a while. we also let them have boxes, and sometimes, tissue paper.
