two very different series mysteries

While traveling recently I read Murder on Mulberry Bend by Victoria Thompson. Shortly after I got home, I read Hit List by Lawrence Block.

Kushiel's Scion

This book, naturally, is a follow-on to the immensely popular Kushiel series. I thought it was well-written. It didn't have as much delightful kinky sex as the earlier books set in this world.
