It was a four-hour travel odyssey (two hours in each direction) but I did get to enjoy sunspiral and roozle's pool yesterday. Mmm, the water was great. Thanks for letting me stop by, guys!

Other coolness measures in the last 48 hours include eating frozen yogurt, making still more herbal iced tea, going out to lunch with AC, and sleeping in the AC-d living room.

laundry and love

Her Highness Miss Kitty Suzuki Yao has been hanging out in my room. On the bed, sometimes, or in the windowsill, or behind my chair. Last night, she insisted that 7j and I pet her for about an hour. That seemed like a good sign. I woke up at some point during the night and heard purring. She was asleep on my dirty laundry. Aww!! So cute. If it hadn't been four am, I would've taken a picture.

When I woke up, she was back in the windowsill.

Soon we will be taking her back to the vet to have her stitches out. She will then get to have the cone removed from her head, and life can return to normal.

Oh the lovely coolth. I'm so glad it's no longer sweltering.

It also makes me hungry. Neat!

ETA: It looks like it will stay reasonable now, at least through the weekend. Huzzah for that.
