I have a wicked sore throat and headache. Also I'm very bleary and exhausted.

I guess this is what happens when you get caught in the rain and don't immediately take a warm shower or put dry clothes on. All my fault.

I'm taking my kitty and going back to bed.

Anyone want to show up with soup later? Or something?

I made myself chicken soup, with the chickenstock from [livejournal.com profile] bbbsg, baby bok choy and mustard greens from the farm share, chicken in the freezer, much garlic, and potatos and onions I bought last week.

It came out well. I ate it with naan.

Otherwise, I have been watching Alias DVDs and petting my cat. Knitting seems like too much effort. (My kneesock has been going great, though. And I signed up for the Magic Loop class at Woolcott Yarns, where you can learn how to do two socks at the same time on one circular needle. Amazing!)

My throat no longer hurts quite as much, so I think I'm doing the right stuff.

One queer fantasy with intense themes, one short piece of nonfiction on Amish quilting.

In other news, I am now going to stop using the topical tags at the beginning of my subject lines, now that there are tag tags available that you can search by. I haven't yet decided if I'm going to go back and remove the topical tags and replace them with the new tags, in earlier posts.

Last night I saw Mr. and Mrs. Smith with [livejournal.com profile] redjo, after a tasty dinner of soup and salad.

Now, as the world knows already, I do not have refined cinematic tastes. However, I just have to say, I thought that that movie was hilarious. And sexy. Come on - don't you want to see Angelina Jolie in a PVC gown and big boots?

I especially recommend this movie for anyone who's married. I guarantee that it will make you feel better about your own situation, watching the hilarity of married superspies who keep their careers secret from each other. And we think we have problems!

They also showed previews for Bewitched and Fantastic Four, which I already was pretty sure I wanted to see. In addition - they showed a preview for the new movie of the Dukes of Hazard. This film features Jessica Simpson as Daisy Duke, Burt Reynolds as Boss Hogg, and Willie Nelson as Uncle Earl. (And, um, people play the brothers. Yup, they sure do.) It just looks fun.

I can tell - I'm going to see more movies this summer than I have in the past two years.
