I have a wicked sore throat and headache. Also I'm very bleary and exhausted.

I guess this is what happens when you get caught in the rain and don't immediately take a warm shower or put dry clothes on. All my fault.

I'm taking my kitty and going back to bed.

Anyone want to show up with soup later? Or something?

If I lived closer, I'd be there in a sec with some homemade soup and a teddy bear. But alas, I'm not. Feel better, and [livejournal.com profile] mrpet better take care of you good :)

Yup. I've been going - peppermint --> magic tea --> peppermint...

I may have to do some lemon tea with lemon juice too.

I expect I won't be seeing you tomorrow, then.

We should reschedule, if for no other reason than your sanity. :)

*hugs* Feel better. And thank you for your surprising sane parent mojo, it really helped. ;)

Yeah - if I can do anything tomorrow, it should be my tutoring session. It will have to wait...

i lack veggies to toss in it, but i do have frozen chicken stock. i'd be happy to bring a bag over; it unthaws in the microwave in about 3-4 minutes.

evidently, she has tons of veggies to toss in, due to the farmshare that just started coming in.

Frozen chicken stock would be awesome. I have potatos and onions and garlic and greens.

Want some lettuce, while you're here?

Question for you

So, my standard soup for people who are sick is matzoh ball soup. But it has eggs in it.

What is your favorite kind of soup for when you're sick?

Probably my No. 1 favorite is homemade chicken noodle, with something green in it (like broccoli). My no. 2 favorite is potato soup with lots of garlic (but no dairy, since dairy makes you more congested).
