Safari (the browser that ships with MacOS X) is pretty nice, if you're on a Mac. Otherwise, I second the Firefox nomination. Fast, relatively small, widely acceptable, and standards compliant.

I love Mozilla's Firefox. Love it. Only issue is that some websites don't play well with it. But it's fast, and it's *not* Microsoft.
