two more vignettes

This month I have lost two pairs of gloves - one left intentionally in the coat check of a very nice restaurant, and one dropped accidentally while in Goodwill. Interestingly, the first pair vanished without a trace and the second was held behind the counter for me without my even calling to ask.

Also, today I saw queen_of_wands in the park with her baby. She enjoyed playing with my monster bag, by which I mean she stared at it, grabbed it, and tried to drool on it, though queen_of_wands prevented this through her vigilance. The really cool part, though? Twice I said the baby's name and she responded by looking up at me.
