two things on my mind

1) heartexalted and I got a belled collar on the kitten so that it will be easier not to step on her in the dark, which my other roommate was horrified to have done a few nights ago. She is deeply freaked out by this jingling thing around her neck which she CANNOT PLAY WITH. Poor baby. I should get her a ball with a bell in it. I hear they're good for safe signals too.

2) Free online university classes. Oh so good, so so good. trouble4hire turned me on to this article which talks about a number of places to find them. I am now enjoying the intro to the intro of Psych 101 at Yale, though how I will get the textbooks is another question entirely.

Check the library or online? Often you can find an earlier edition at a greatly reduced price. Sometimes all they do is reorganize the chapters, depending on the subject matter that is.

also, some books are available as pdfs via torrents.

Surprisingly, my library system does not have either of the necessary psych books necessary, and neither does my beloved paperbackswap.com. I am working on getting one through ILL. The other one I'm not sure where I'll get.

That's a really good idea! Not for these particular books, but I hope it will help me for other classes.
