wine experiment

So, for the past six months I have been sticking to wine that is either vegan or from Austrailia (where they label the bottles for allergens), since I found out that wine is often fined with eggs. My reaction to eggs is strong enough that small amounts matter, and making this change helped me.
However, there are certain wines that I really like and care about being able to have. So this week and last week I had a glass of a wine I really liked and observed myself for reaction. My reaction to eggs is fast, so I had a sip of each before I committed to the whole glass. In both cases, it turned out fine. So I am happy to report that I am once again able to have the white wine blend Conundrum, with its sweet grapefruit taste, and the Trapiche Malbec that is the house specialty at the Argentinian steakhouse that
mrpet and I go to about once a month. Yummy.
