Title: Tales of Beedle the Bard
Author: JK Rowling
Genre: Fantasy, short stories, children
Pages: 111
Copyright date: 2008
First Line: "The Tales of Beedle the Bard is a collection of stories written for young wizards and witches."
Cover: Potter-esque, fairly enough. Shows a stump, an axe, the hindquarters of a leaping rabbit, an erupting cauldron, and other similar things.
Best part: The stories - they are cute without being annoying.
Worst part: The frame - all of the "I'm Dumbledore and I'm awesome" stuff felt like wasted paper to me. I would have rather had another story.
Grade: C+
Recommended for: Those who can't get enough of the Potterverse.

This is the first book that I have read that is in the Potter world without actually being Potter. I am glad I didn't start earlier, because it didn't do that much for me. I liked the stories but nothing was truly oustanding about it. I think this one is better for children, honestly. C+.
