Well - my tutoring student didn't show up for her appointment.

Sigh.

I don't quite know what to do. I guess I'll call the EMLC office when I get home. I suspect they're going to tell me to write her a letter, since her phone is disconnected. Unfortunately I'm not sure this is going to work so well, since her reading of English is even less good than her comprehension.

Maybe they'll give me another student. That would be okay, I guess.

I want this to work. I feel frustrated.
Maybe she was just too nervous.
Maybe she didn't remember.
I really should have sent her a letter. But, as you see above, I wasn't sure that it would work to do that. I was worried that if she couldn't read the letter she might think that I was cancelling, not confirming.

Meh, I say.

Well, at least the other stuff is going really well.

Sorry, hon. She's not paying for it, right? I think this relates to the principle behind Reiki: people appreciate what they pay for. I guess I'm just saying, "don't take it personally," and "this probably won't be the last time."
