A Bone to Pick by Charlaine Harris
Sep. 10th, 2008 11:54 amThis is the second book in the Aurora Teagarden series, one of Harris' non-supernatural works. I had previously read and enjoyed both Real Murders and Poppy Done to Death, and I plan to read the whole series.
Roe Teagarden is saddened when her friend Jane Engle dies - then baffled when she learns she is the beneficiary of Jane's surprisingly large estate. Bafflement turns to shock when she discovers a human skull hidden under a window seat in the house. Jane has left her a hefty bequest - and a mystery to solve. Will Roe's newfound wealth be worth the cost?
Good book. Very good book. This series is solid, and I still can't predict whodunnit. I am still enjoying watching Roe's relationships evolve, especially since I know where they're going come book nine. Three stars. I recommend this series for all mystery fans.
