Crusade by David Weber and Steven White
Aug. 25th, 2008 03:03 pmThis is second in the Starfire series. However, the series goes back in time as it continues - the first book is the latest in the timeline of the series, and the third is the earliest. Clear as mud? Good. :)
ETA: Oops, I forgot the plot summary. A ship comes out of a wormhole that has never previously given up its secrets. They claim to come in peace. They claim to be descendants of a lost Terran colony. But something may be fishy in the state of Denmark...
I found this book slightly confusing. Most of the characters didn't really stick out in my mind, and most of the battle plans were hard to visualize. What added to the confusion was trying to figure out who in the first book was descended from characters in the second book. It was okay, but nothing to write home about. Two and a half stars.
