here, kitty kitty
Jul. 1st, 2008 06:59 pmA few nights ago, Pretzel broke free from his bondage - to wit, his purple collar with butterflies on it. He must have hidden it somewhere, because it's nowhere to be found. I wasn't too worried, since the shelter we got him from routinely microchips their animals, and he's an indoor cat. But since he sometimes likes to hang outside the door, and once went outside through a serious error in judgement (see also: party window incident) I wanted to replace it, just in case.
For a while, I have known that Suzu needed a new collar. She's put on a lot of weight since we adopted her, and grown in all directions, including her neck! We had originally gotten her one sized for a small cat, since she was, but now she's normal size (maybe a little on the tubby side, even).
So, when my travels went near a PetSmart for today, I picked up spiffy new safety collars for both of them. Pretzel's is purple and snaps back together (important, since he likes getting them off). And as for the princess... her new collar is pink with rhinestones. It could only have been more perfect with crowns AND rhinestones.
Pretzel didn't really fight me when I collared him. Suzu let me take her old collar off, then ran away while I was moving her tags to the new one. But I'll get you yet, my ninja princess. Soon you will be shiny and LIKE IT!
Now that I got the new collar, I'm sure that the old one will turn up within the next 24 hours. I'll save it for the next time this happens.
