In the new chicklit novel by the author of the bestselling Shopaholic series, Lexi Smart receives the shock of her life when she wakes up in a fancy hospital with new teeth, a svelte body, expensive accessories, and a husband she's never met.  Not only has she forgotten the car accident that put her in the hospital, she also has no memory of the last three years of her life!  Her former boss now works for her, her friends are glamorous, her husband is rich and handsome.  How did she wind up with her Cinderella life, and what price has she paid for success?

I read this book in one sitting.  I started it, and then suddenly it was all gone!  The characters were believable, and so were Lexi's choices as she slowly unravels the mystery of her past.  There are surprisingly few easy answers along the way, considering the genre, and I liked that.  It was great fun, and it would be just the thing to read on the beach.  Three and a half stars.  If you've ever wondered just how you wound up with the life you have, or wondered "what if?" - and who hasn't? - you should give it a read.  If you're a fan of chicklit, I'm sure it's already on your list, so let me just reassure you that it deserves to be there.

Surprisingly, this was the first time I read Kinsella - I will definitely try her again in the future, even though Shopaholic didn't grab me.
