mmm, taxes
Apr. 6th, 2005 01:39 pmI got my taxes finished a week early. It just kept slipping my mind - usually it's done much earlier than this unless there's a problem.
How cool is it that efiling your federal tax return is now free? I really enjoy it that each year, the process seems to get a bit easier.
I imagine for me, next year things will be more complicated, since I am getting insurance benefits right now (which I've heard are not taxable, but I want to check that with an accountant) and will be self-employed later. I'm also hoping to deduct my business expenses, like taking the doula training, etc. Perhaps next year it will make sense for me to use an accountant.
I'll be getting a hundred dollars back from the state, which is nice. I'm probably spending it on yarn or knitting books.
