in praise of internet radio
Mar. 15th, 2005 10:18 amI think internet radio is really awesome. I love how there are no (or far fewer) commercials, and that it's easy to find channels that are "niche-y." The way you can skip tracks in some formats is also totally awesome.
My favorites:
Adult Alternative from LaunchCast (pop-ish stuff)
Club 977, the 80s Channel (all eighties, all the time!)
Groove Salad (ambient - I could listen to this all day long)
Hitz Radio (pop and hip hop, which I have a secret affection for)
Smooth Jazz (extremely mellow and relaxing, but with very little Kenny G-type stuff)
Does anybody listen to any great ones I'm missing?

i'm rather obsessed with them- if you don't like them or can't stand them, it's ok; just let me know so i don't drive you nutz with it.
they also have a station on winamp - 'all rush radio' (surprise;} )
