Y: The Last Man by Brian K. Vaughn

This series has gotten some pretty awesome reviews, so I started reading it. The plot concerns a world in which all males have suddenly died, with the mysterious exception of the main character, Yorrick, and his pet monkey, Ampersand. I like it so far (ie, to the end of the first collected volume). The plot is good, the characters are interesting and believable, and the dialogue is pretty funny in places. Three stars.

As of volume 9, Y remains pretty darn good.

It's gotta be better than Shelley's The Last Man. By the time we *get* to the last man, I was willing to kill him myself, as well as several thousand who preceded him. My goodness can she drag a narrative to death.
