Date: 2007-07-05 05:07 pm (UTC)I remember feeling years ago like I was going insane. Like I was the only one would could see that the Bush-Cheney-Rumsfeld, etc. group were not just "sort of conservative" or "right leaning" but something more...
As a history person, I have been chilled to the bone that a station like Fox News so falls within the totalitarian stereotype of Pravda or Musolini's radio stations.
I felt like I was the only person who saw that these were not people who felt that the country should tilt slightly to the right, but people who felt that they were above laws and that the Constitution and our government's checks and balances were quaint, outdated, and should be removed so they may do whatever they want.
In the past year or so, I am slowly feeling better. They actions grew so outragiously brazen, even right-wingers are finally scratching their heads asking "who are these people?"
