thank god for NOAA
Jun. 13th, 2007 05:23 pmThe weather report said there was a 70% chance of zombie uprising today, so J and I decided to work from home. By noon, it was clear that it wasn't just going to be a light zombie shower, if you know what I mean, so we took the kids down the bomb shelter. Annie seemed nervous so I reassured her by telling her that her work clearing a thirty-foot radius around the house had been terrific and that I really appreciated her efforts. We all appreciated them when the zoners started coming. When the land mines started exploding, Timmy got really excited, but, as we had feared, they only worked if the zoner was in hand-sized pieces or smaller. That takes a really lucky shot. The razor wire was more helpful. Zoners aren't bright enough to stand on each other to climb over. And none have gotten past the holy water moat. It doesn't melt them like in the movies, but it does seem to de-activate them. Good thing we're pagan - we can make our own! Things are holding steady so far. If we make it through the night, we should be okay. Only clouds are predicted for Thursday.
HA!
