First, Buffy the Vampire Slayer: The Long Way Home, Part 3. Apparently there's only one more part to the end of the series - I hope it's not going to be the end of the storyline. I'm very happy with how it's developing. This particular ish included a very sexy dream sequence. Also, I loved the cover, with a resplendent Willow in an outfit I wish to own for myself. Four stars, and I'm looking forward to the conclusion.

Second, Strangers In Paradise: High School. I wasn't sure that I would like this issue, and in fact, I didn't like it much. Although it did have a few scenes of "intense mother-in-denial" stuff that I could really relate to. I guess Terri Moore and I share those issues. But I've ordered the next volume from the library, in hopes of getting the taste out of my mouth.

RE Buffy season 8 comics: I think it's one more issue to finish up the story arc, not the whole series. Is it 24 comics total? Jon will know. :)

I read recently that they added another arc, so closer to 30 comics. Joss said that he keeps coming up with more ideas with every panel he writes, so this could go a long time. The writers they have lined up are excellent: Jane Espenson, Brian K. Vaughn (from Lost), Jeph Loeb (from Smallville, when it was good) and at least one more Joss arc.
