Anybody want to tell me about something fun that's happening tomorrow night in the Boston area? The peace and quiet is starting to get to me. :)

ETA: I feel I should be more specific. I like small groups of people, meetings that happen in coffee shops, folk music, and dancing. I like movies or TV if in the company of others and not dumb. I travel using public transportation. Hopefully that will give you more of an idea of what I'm looking for.

That's cool! But I was actually just there a few weeks ago, so I think I might pass.

It reminds me, though - I think there's somewhere that has live model drawings on Thursday nights. Maybe I can look into that.

I believe that "out of the blue" gallery has live models Thursday night. I'm told it's a bit crowded, but if you get there early you could grab a corner or something.
Craig's list has an artist section. Sometimes there are notices there for events with live models.

Well, if you want to do something during the day, I have no plans. We have a nice big TV with lots of movies I just bought (store around the corner going out of business), baking skillz, an entertaining daughter...any of this appealing?

That sounds lovely, cee! I have plans to have lunch with Jess, but I could come by afterwards if you're willing. I'm not sure of the exact time. Perhaps around three? Is that too late for you?

Three is fine. Do you want to call when you're heading over? Or would it make it easier for you if we were to pick you up somewhere?

It sounds like you're all set, so this is more general musing in response to the "I'm bored" sentiment, rather than specific helpfulness.

There are all the museums. No need to be bored in Boston with the museums around. Some of them are a little awkward to get to by T - like the Gardner, but it's a nice walk. I imagine there are some little, low profile, mostly free museums too, but I would need to go hunting through the web to try to find them. If you have time, go wander through the touristy areas -- no so much to do the touristy things, which can be pricey, but to see all the brochures people leave lying around in the touristy areas.

It suddenly occurs to me that I've never been to the BPL.

I checked Passim's schedule, and I thought: "I haven't the slightest clue about tonight's show. Ooh! But Friday and Saturday look great! I want to g- they're sold out. Le sigh."
