How do you acquire clothes? Do you prefer to get them used or new? What styles, colors, and material do you look for? Are you confident in your ability to choose your own, or do you prefer to bring a friend to help? Is it more important that they look good on you, or that they be comfortable?

Yay, a clothes question! :::grin:::

I *was* going to write:

I don't have a preference regarding new or used clothing; I do prefer to get clothing inexpensively so I can have a wide variety within my budget.

But, upon re-reading that, I realize I *do* prefer used clothing and I strongly prefer clothing passed on to me by someone I know and/or love. If it is an item I've seen a friend wear, when I wear it, I carry those memories and a little bit of my friend with me. If it is an item from a thrift store/tag sale/eBay, I make up stories in my head about how the item was purchased and why it was given up.

I'm very confident in my ability to buy clothes that work on me, that create the silhouette I prefer and that will work with other parts of my wardrobe. I probably have the most fun shopping alone, without the distraction of unsolicited advice from friends or any time pressure beyond my own schedule. I *like* shopping with friends, but I need to be in the mood for socializing and not just-shopping.

As for comfort vs. looking good, my favorite outfits are fuss-free/-lite, very comfortable, AND look good on me.
