energy share

I have been wanting to write for several days on the topic of the energyshare I attended last weekend. This was hosted by
globedoc and his lovely partner E in Woburn. I had been looking forward to it for a while - it felt like a good thing to do on the eve of Imbolc.
I felt a little awkward, being by myself at a social gathering where I knew almost no one. But everyone was very friendly and very interesting. There were many people there that I really hope I'll run into again. Some of them I can even remember names for. D was a massage therapist who talked about his recovery and his work with addicts. I felt a connection with him instantly. When I told the room I'd love to get a massage, or do some energywork, he volunteered with no hesitation. He gave me one of the best massages of my adult life. (Wow!)
Then I presented a short workshop on polarity healing (as taught to me a few years ago by
catya), using my hostess E as my demo bottom. I demonstrated how the technique worked, then I had people get partnered up and basically just walked them all through doing it. The class was amazing. I wanted to present something on energywork that would allow people who had never done it before to be able to do it, and it was a raging success! A lot of people asked me insightful questions about the technique, how it fits with other forms of energywork, etc - to me that's a sure sign of a great class experience.
I wrapped up the evening by receiving some of E's unique energywork and then offering some of mine to D.
srl drove me home, and we drank tea together. What a wonderful evening.
Sometimes, I would write about this sort of thing on my mystical foo filter, but this time, I want the whole world to know! Go to
globedoc's shares - they're magnificent!
