hat in progress
Dec. 23rd, 2004 03:51 pmI just finished the hat I was making for my partner. The Hothead pattern from Stich and Bitch, in black and khaki green (matching the scarf). I made the pattern that was supposed to make a large hat. It won't even fit on my head, and my head is not particularly large! I'm not sure what they were thinking. Maybe they wanted me to knit to a gauge. *grin* Fools. Realistically I'm more likely to make a pattern, and change it if it doesn't work. Just like I'm about to do right now.
It seems like it will work better if the number of stitches you cast on is divisible by eight. (Dividing things by eight seems important for hats in general.) I started with 64 the first time. Perhaps I'll try again with 80, or even 88.
Pictures of Honey's Yarn Stuff coming soon, assuming I can figure out how to upload them and put them behind a cut...
