questions about 2004
Dec. 22nd, 2004 04:23 pmI've seen a few memes about the end of the year, but not one I've liked, so I'll improvise.
Some things that have made me happy this year: learning to crochet, finding a housegirl, spending time outside.
Some things that have sustained me this year: my relationships, spirituality, good friends.
Challenges: learning to live with not being in control.
Successes: changing the way I think about my ability to learn things, getting a better perspective on my family
Parties hosted: Harem Wish, kinky formal dinner party, blacklight sex party, 3-part birthday party, Red Hot Kisses party, Solstice vigil
Workshops taught: Sex Magick 101 at Cauldron Farm, Embracing the Beast Within at Cauldron Farm, fisting demo for MOB New England
Best party attended: Kamela and Daniel's House Re-Heating
Best present received: close one! either the pink suede jacket I got from my partner or set of crochet hooks and set of interchangeable knitting needles I got from his parents
Best present given: statue of Vishyakarma, the Hindu god of engineers, to my partner
Favorite book of the year: _The Bone People_ by Kerewin Hulme
What have you done this year for the first time?
Crocheting, spinning, improvising a cookie recipe successfully, finding a partner over the internet, getting a livejournal, telling my boss about a personal problem
What have you let go of this year?
Some illusions regarding my family and my employer. The belief that I am in control of my life.
What would you like to do in 2005?
I would like to complete my intended career change and become a doula.
