Sweat Your Prayers at the Boston Dance Complex is coming up in another week and a half (Monday, March 7th).

Last time, [livejournal.com profile] bluepapercup and I had a splendiferous time. Would anyone like to join me and [livejournal.com profile] ceelove for a second visit? Start time is seven-thirty, sliding scale $8-$11. Possibility of dinner before or coffee afterwards. Drop a comment if you're interested.

I like your anemone icon.

Hope you're feeling better...

(wow, I'm looking at "you're" as though it's a foreign concept...)

Thanks! I am feeling better, thanks to the magic of Kiss My Face Cold and Flu Bath and Decaf Green Tea with Echinacia and Vitamin C. :)

Hi, I found your page via [livejournal.com profile] darxus.

I wanted to mention that there's also the Improv Jam in the same space & time in half a week (2nd & 4th Mondays). It's higher energy, with live music. It's not really Gabriel Roth stuff, so it might not be your cup of tea.

Hmm, I just realized that I was assuming you know about Dance Freedom (http://www.dancefreedom.com/). Every Wednesday from 7:30-10:30 at the First Congregational Church, Mason and Garden Streets, Cambridge, MA (Harvard Square, right next to the Sheraton Commander hotel) $7-10 sliding scale. It's very similar to a bigger Sweat Your Prayers (or at least what SYP used to be, I haven't been in a while). Margaux shows up more than occasionally. Come on down, the water's fine.

Thanks for your comment, [livejournal.com profile] danceboy.

I'm actually not into contact improv. But Dance Freedom looks interesting. Could you tell me a little bit about what the music is like, and how much contact tends to go on?

Sweat Your Prayers is an ecstatic dance event with live music.

Here's the website:

The concepts are based on two books by Gabrielle Roth - Sweat Your Prayers and Maps to Ecstasy.
