winamp and the LJ genie

Dear LJ genie,

My new copy of Winamp Pro doesn't seem to be working quite like I expected. I am trying to rip a CD using it, and I tell it to rip all the tracks, and it gets 60% through the first track, and then, it just stops. I don't know why. I've tried restarting the program and restarting the computer. Any suggestions?

did you check it wasn't a problem with this CD?
(sometimes CDs that play fine don't rip fine, even on the same computer... try another CD or two before faulting the software/computer?)

try using audiograbber (don;t remember URL, but its free for full version, uses LAME DLL, so you have to download that separately, for free as well).... just even to test if the CD will rip [properly.
