Today's breakfast smoothie: bananna, strawberry, blueberry, cherry, and yogurt. I put in some apple juice to make it digestible to the blender, mainly because I didn't see the pomegranate juice in the fridge. It was very good but next time I'll strain out the strawberry seeds.

I didn't actually get a smoothie maker for my birthday, so I guess I'll be watching craigslist. Our blender isn't really built for this abuse, especially if some of the ingredients are frozen.

I also recently concluded that I wasn't getting enough starch. Adding in some carbs in at least one meal a day has made me feel less like I'm going to blow away in the wind, although they're never a central part of my summer eating.

adding in carbs- especially "good" carbs like whole grains and root vegetables, which also have lots of nutrients.
