I've been thinking about dreams.

I read somewhere that only a third of people dream in color. I dream in color, in fact, vivid color is often an important part of my dreams. I have the sense that a disproportionate number of people I know dream in color. Do you dream in color?

Also - have you ever had a dream where you felt like some emotional issue was resolved or at least furthered? I have, on several occaisions. I have had dreams about getting closure with exes, which have made me feel much better about the way things ended, for example. Another way of describing this would be, dreams that have a significant and positive effect on your waking existence.

I dream in color. And I've also had the experience of gaining insight or resolution via dreams, so much so that I've wondered if sleep isn't really intended to be a designated upload/download time with one's Higher Self.

Yep, I get color. I also get absolute randomness that borders on nightmares in their anxiety causing abilities, so I hate dreaming, and try to actively avoid the partly-awake stage that seems to lead to it.

I have had, though, a few very helpful dreams, such as the one I got when I was 10 where I felt what it was like to be addicted to cigarettes (and feel why it was so good, as well), which is a major part of why I never smoked, and avoided addictions.

I dream I do in vivid color most of the time. I was plagued by night terrors as a child and had several hundred hours with "experts" on dream control.
Sometimes when I lose control of the dreams I find lost items that I recently stressed over.

I dream in color, but I rarely remember what about.

Yup.

I dream in color, and I have dreams that are heavily emotionally laden. I've had one dream where there was a specific person who gave me some sort of closure. Otherwise, usually they're more reflective of my underlying emotional state.

I always dream in color. My dreams are very realistic.

last night's dream definitely had color, but i can't recall if it was all in color or just pieces of it. frex, in part of the dream my hair was being done. i vividly remember yellow ribbons & such being braided in, but that's the only color i can focus on.

There’s colour in my dreams if it’s relevant to the dream, but I wouldn’t say that my dreams are “in colour”. But they’re also not not “in colour”. (Similarly, I’ll know what a character looks like in my dream, or hear a snippet of melody, but only if it’s actually relevant to the dream. It’s just as common that I know that there’s a character who has this rôle in the dream and this personal context in the dream, and I’m talking to them, but I don’t have a picture of their face, or that there’s a song in my dream that has a particular association to me, but I don’t dream the words or the melody.) Also, the conversations in my dreams don’t always have words, but sometimes a particular word (which may well be in a language I don’t even speak very well!) will be very prominent, with a particular spelling, pronunciation, or intonation.
