slow and steady

Things continue to progress with the new cat. (I'm taking the suggestion of bluepapercup to let her grow into her own name. I'm now thinking about anime girl names, because she has enormous anime eyes.) Over time she is acting less and less skittish. She is sleeping out on the porch right now, which, while not my lap, is definitely better than, say, under the television or behind the boxes we have upstairs. She no longer runs away instantly if you see her. Also, the distance that she runs and the length of time until she comes back from running have both been getting shorter and shorter.

She spent some time yesterday sitting just a few feet away from me. That was exciting.

I continue hopeful.

I think so, too. :) She's even getting comfortable with me moving around a room that she's in, as long as I don't go directly towards her. Cute icon, by the way!

I viewed the cat as well. She is a secretive ninja kitty with enormous eyes and smoky fur.

This all sounds wonderful and quite encouraging. If she's venturing closer and closer now, soon I think she will want to hang out. :) Yay.
