Our feline of international mystery made a brief visit last night. She came into my room for a minute, until she saw that Pretzel was there. Then she left. But still - it's the first time she's come out of hiding while we're not all in bed, so it's a really good sign, I think.

I keep talking to her soothingly. "Hey little girl - it's okay. You're doing great." Hopefully she'll get used to the sound of my voice and interpret it as a positive thing.

We are giving the cat until we get back from camping. If she's not acting somewhat social by then we will return her.
