trashy fiction continues
Mar. 27th, 2006 09:37 amI read An Accidental Goddess by Linnea Sinclair last week. It was a light and fluffy sci fi/fantasy crossover. It was okay, funny in places. I probably won't read it again, but I'll try her other books.
This weekend, I read Thief of Lives by Barb and JC Hendee. This was a sequel to Dhampir which I had liked very much. TOL was more predictable - it followed the same pattern as the first book. Much of this book also seemed like a setup for the third book, Sister to the Dead. Again, three stars. That makes 33 books for the year, so I'm averaging a bit more than ten books a month so far. In general, that's better than last year, but not as good as years previous.

Date: 2006-03-27 03:50 pm (UTC)Oh, it's about four young women who bond at a women's college, one (or two? i can't quite recall) become lesbians, they all struggle and cope, and there's a few odd turns in there... it's set in the 60s, I think, and is clearly somewhat autobiographical, given that she went to Sarah Lawrence and this was her first book after she left (I think).
Anyway, you might enjoy it, and if you're intersted, I have a copy somewhere around here, should we ever actually see each other in person again!
