We've all heard of faith-based adoption networks. The LDS have their own thing, Catholic Charities does, there's a Jewish adoption network. (It seems that this is a somewhat complicated issue under Muslim law, and they tend to focus on large kinship groups anyway, but you can adopt Muslim children too.) And I was wondering.

What if someone who was pagan wanted to give their baby up for adoption to another pagan family? Would there be any way for them to do that besides simply finding a pagan family in their area that wanted a baby?

So far, I've found The Pagan Adoption Connection. It's nice to know that it's out there.

I don't know how willing state orgs would be to try to place your child with another pagan family, the way they would if you were part of a more ordinary religious group. Adoption.com has a faith-based adoption thingee, but no pagan section (although they do have Hindu, B'Hai, and Unitarian). Adoptionnetwork.com has an "other" category for spiritual practices.

NB - This is not based on any real situation. I'm just thinking.
