cat update

I didn't want to post this too soon, because of former difficulties with the cat seeming better and then getting worse. But it seems that he is all better now. He is back from his week-long visit to the vet. He no longer has the cone on his head, and his ear is not swollen or bleeding anymore. It's floppy because of their severing the nerve, and that's permanent. He's not scratching it, it doesn't seem to be itching.

He is now mooching around the house as usual, looking for treats and love. We're so glad he's home.

Oh my gosh. Somehow I must have missed previous post(s) about the kitty saga, because I didn't know anything about it (sometimes for whatever reason, people's posts never show up in my friends' list even though I can see them if I go to the person's journal directly). I'm glad he's home safe and sound. I know how it is to worry about and miss a sick kitty.

I've been having that problem, too. It's very frustrating. After all, that's the whole point of having a Friends list...

sometimes I have the reverse problem--I can see recent posts in my friends list before I can see them on the actual journal.

I never saw kitty-posts either, though it's possible that I'm not on that list. Then again, I saw this post, which would imply that I am. Hmm.

Yay! I personally understand some of your frustration and worry as we had to go through some of that, a little over a year ago, with one of our kitties.
Quilted cat's ears are odd and unsettling things.
