altfriday5:
1. How well do you feel you know your own limits (physical, mental, emotional, etc.)?
Very well. Knowing myself is important, and knowing my limitations is part of that. I think I am also more honest with myself about what I can and can't do than I was a few years ago.
2. When was the last time you pushed your limits?
A few weeks ago, for a sexual encounter.
3. Do you feel as though some of your limits are too low? In other words, do you find them frustrating? If yes, which ones, and why?
Recently, my sexual limits have been driving me crazy. A few years ago, I had sex almost every day but at least three times a week. Now, if I'm lucky and doing well, I might have a very specific kind of sex, with certain very specific people, once a week. Pushing myself to do more doesn't work except in tiny small doses.
4. Have you ever been surprised by your limits (either pleasantly or unpleasantly)? If yes, tell us a bit about it.
I have been surprised by wanting or not wanting (nonsexual) touch in different situations. Sometimes, I will feel very comfortable with someone I hardly know, and want them to touch me. Other times, I will be with people I know, or in a setting I feel comfortable in, and really not want to be touched.
5. How do you feel your limits compare to the general population's? Are they higher than average, average, or lower than average?
My sexual limits are probably still less stringent than most people's. My limits for touch from strangers are much more stringent than most people's. In general, physically, I'm probably somewhere in the middle. Mentally, I think I have less stringent limits than most, including an excellent memory. Diet-wise, my limits are so low, getting under them is like playing a game of limbo.
