This series of graphic novels by the creator of Babylon 5 was suggested to me by
trouble4hire. Wow. I was intrigued just by hearing the premise about about a few of the characters. So far, they're blowing me away.
A comet touched down in the small town of Pederson, Illinois. The children who were in the womb at that time and in that place are different. Special. Some of them can fly, others can create light or fire. Some are exceptionally beautiful or create art. But the government fears this new kind of people. They want to control them. And if they get out of control, they have a contingency plan...
I will admit that the art is not fantastic, but the scope and the plot more than makes up for such lacks. I found it very moving and also addictive. I wanted the next installment right away, thank you! Four stars.
