Blackbird House by Alice Hoffman
Aug. 4th, 2008 08:43 amI've been strangely reluctant to write this review. I got bogged down in the middle, just as I did with the book. I guess I was disappointed that the book didn't move me as much as I expected it to. This is a collection of linked short stories by Hoffman that all center around the same farm on the Cape in Massachusetts. I mostly was not very enthused by it. My favorite piece was "Black is the Color of My True Love's Hair" but I did not feel very strongly about it overall. Two and a half stars.
