one CharlieCard question answered, another presented

The bus driver told me yesterday, and I confirmed that it was true, that you have two hours to switch to another bus (or subway). I confirmed it was true by slightly overshooting my window and having to pay the fare again.

I suspect that I am going to become a grand master of getting a pile of things done in an hour and a half.

Here's my next question - how are those of you who have one carrying your CharlieCard? Has anyone tried to use this card while it was inside something? What happened?
I have been punching a hole in my bus pass and sticking it on my keychain for years. I'm considering getting one of these or one of these, since I pillaged the Cambridgeside Galleria without finding anything that seemed appropriate. Right, or one of these.

This is necessary for me because there are times when I leave the house without taking my wallet - like when going for walks.

the year in books

In 2006, I read 160 books. Yup. That's how many. If you put them all on top of each other, I think it would make a pile bigger than me.

Here are the titles and authors of all the five-star books I read, with short descriptions. Now, I read a lot more good books this year, books that I would gladly read over and over. To get five stars, a book has to be great. I have to feel that it changed my life, or the genre, or it could change the world in some way.

everyone loves being an expert

Recently, people have been asking me some really fun questions.

"So, Honey, got any tips on how to host a successful play party?" Oh yeah.

"Do you have any resources on the Green Man I could look at?" You know it.

There is nothing like being asked questions you know the answers to, to make you feel smart and competent.
