[books] Murder by Magic
Mar. 19th, 2005 06:55 amI just finished Murder by Magic, edited by Rosemary Edghill. I read it because of it being referenced as the "original version" which Powers of Deception was a spinoff of.
Overall, the quality of the stories was better than those in Powers of Deception. However, the best of the stories in Murder by Magic were not as good as the best of the stories in Powers of Deception. So, none of the stories sucked, but none of them were wonderful.
Probably my favorite in Murder by Magic was "Grey Eminence" by Mercedes Lackey, but that was definitely one of the slightly fuzzy stories.
I have also been trying to read This Scepter'd Isle by Mercedes Lackey. I am almost halfway through it and it's just not doing anything for me.
It would be nice to read a slam-dunk book for a change.
