a charity deserving of support
Mar. 5th, 2005 09:07 amI just found out about this charity:
http://bostonprojectlinus.homestead.com/home.html
Which gives homemade security blankets to kids who have just been through chemo or similar traumas.
This is just the charity opportunity I have been looking for! They desire blankets that are between thirty-six by thirty-six inches and forty by sixty inches that can be machine washed and dried which do not contain angora or mohair. They will take blankets that are quilted, knitted, or crocheted.
So, if you have a little time and are feeling crafty, make a security blanket for someone who really needs one. If you are not crafty, there are other ways you can help - see them here.
