in praise of The Garment District

For anyone who doesn't know, this weekend Garment District is having their fifty percent off sale. Everything in the store is fifty percent off.

I found the following:

- really fabulous plum and gray wool coat
- heart-shaped sunglasses
- two sweaters to frog for yarn, one pink chenille, one sparkly acrylic
- fabulous black dress with little silver flowers on it

AND... may I have a drumroll please...

MY BLACK SILK BROCADE PANTS!

You are not going to believe this. So, bbbsg and zzbottom, remember those black silk brocade pants I used to wear all the time way back in the day? Which I wore until they just plain fell apart? With the little black flowers on them? From Express?

Garment District had a new pair of these EXACT pants, in my size. I now own them again and can start the whole process all over. Whee!!
