colors! - part three of three

In this post, I am talking about my color choice decisions for an upcoming project. I thought y'all might be interested. Pictures included.

	original yarns These are the yarns that I frogged for this project. They came from Goodwill sweaters. Notice how, without a contrasting color, they look a little dull.
	contrast one I was planning to use this light green yarn as a contrast.
	contrast two Then I found a ball of burgundy Cascade 220 in the closet. Wow! What a difference!
	minus one Something still wasn't quite right. Time to remove the navy yarn. This is the order I'm planning to use the remaining six colors in.

Okay, you're both right. :) The grey is out, the navy is in, and twining rules.

the navy makes the burgundy pop more. if it were me, i'd remove either the light blue or the gray--they're the most similar.

I know what you mean, but I'm looking for something more "soothing" than "exciting." Happily, I have enough of all of these yarns (except the burgundy) that I can try many more color combos in the future...

Oh. Also I tried the burgundy with the grey, navy, and dark purple. Looks awesome, but way too masculine for my room. Something for another time...

I also like the navy in there. I would probably remove the greenish ball that is at 2 o'clock in the contrast two set.
