Is there a smarter way to do this?

snugglekittyI am trying to back up the files on my desktop before we re-install Windows on it.
The CD drive is not working. So I have been uploading everything to my Gmail account and then downloading it on my laptop.
Is there a better way to do this? Like with all the files at once, instead of only 10 mb at a time?
If so, I'd love to know.
