My McAfee security center is warning me of a potential virus that makes your computer restart continuously.

Sounds familiar, huh?

It's called W32/IRCbot.worm!

How would I find it? Perhaps I'll start with a virus scan.

Update your virus defintions, scan away and then run windows updates.
