meme re-do
Aug. 4th, 2005 04:01 pmOkay, actually I just thought of something that I want to know even more than _who_ reads my journal.
If you do read my journal, why? What do you like about it, or get out of it?
(I'm not just looking for strokes here, but also an idea of what content people care about.)
Thanks to the eight people who already responded to the previous version - I hope you'll all comment again. :)

Date: 2005-08-04 08:09 pm (UTC)I try to put anything that's long behind the cut, and use good subject headings, anyhow.

Date: 2005-08-04 08:04 pm (UTC)-I read because you're interesting, because you're my friend, and because reading your LJ appears to be linked to an increase in HBBs in my life.

It's actually kinda funny how much sex I seem to have gotten you in the past few years without ever actually having had sex with you myself. *grin*

Date: 2005-08-04 08:22 pm (UTC)i'm curious about the one-word responses that designate "i do read here" that i might not get with the other meme.
(for example, i might well not bother to respond to this version of the meme for everyone because it would require actually figuring out which categories of content they produce...)

Date: 2005-08-04 08:24 pm (UTC)I think I read your journal because I like you but I don't know you very well; Livejournal might be an imperfect mechanism for changing that, but at least it's an easily-available one.

Date: 2005-08-04 08:26 pm (UTC)and it's good to hear how your life is going and knowing more or less how life is in your corner of the universe.

Date: 2005-08-04 08:28 pm (UTC)I have a hard time articulating why. I wandered by after meeting you and being able to easily find your LJ, and I haven't left because ... it's sufficiently interesting.

Date: 2005-08-04 10:21 pm (UTC)-I enjoy your stories about becoming a doula.
-I enjoy your racy entries, they're very well-written and affecting.

why i read your lj
Date: 2005-08-05 05:24 pm (UTC)i also really enjoy your posts. we have some similar interests, and i generally pick up on new things when i read, books or ideas i might not have come across on my own. the sex stories are beautiful, the doula information is fascinating, and the food you eat, even, leads me to look at the things i eat and come up with alternatives.
i definately feel like you're a part of my long distance tribe, and you're one of the very few reasons i'd come back to the East Coast.
