how to be an awesome party guest

I'm sure you all know that I host parties.
I wanted to post something about being an awesome guest. I will follow it up with a post about being an awesome host.
Here are some things that awesome guests do:
- RSVP in a timely fashion. More than a week is awesome, because it means that we know there will be people at the party.
- Call or email if they can't show up after having RSVPd.
- Dress in accordance with the atmosphere of the party.
- Try introducing themselves to others, or ask the host for same. Try making conversation with people the host has introduced them to.
- Be mindful of your own alcohol consumption and that of the people you came with. If your SO gets plastered, it is your job, not ours, to make sure they don't do anything regrettable.
- Ask if you can help out. The answer is probably yes.
- Bring food or drink.
- Make no assumptions about anyone else's gender, orientation, or availability.
That's what comes to mind for now.
