shop till you drop

snugglekittyWent to the Galleria this afternoon, looking for some summer shorts/capris/whatever and a new pair of sunglasses.
I had a good time - I like shopping - and it was great to be in the air conditioning. I stayed within budget, and bought:
- three pairs of non-sloppy excercise pants half-off for my job (one pair black, one pair grey, and one pair navy) at Filene's
- really cute sunglasses at New York and Co (really sad they didn't have the pink capri cargos in my size)
- a pair of cargo-style black pants from H&M, which I LOVE. I tried on half a dozen styles, so apparently that's in right now, which rocks because I love cargo pants. The ones I got are kind of a femme version - slightly shaped, and only a few pockets, out of a silky material. Very nice. :)
Now I just need to buy a new pocketbook (my current one was great for the corporate chick lifestyle, but doesn't fit as well with being a hip birth chick) and I'll be done. And I'll still be within my budget of $100, even after that. Go me!
Edit: And, although I didn't actually buy them because they didn't match the rest of my wardrobe, it was so good to find out that there are shorts out there that make me look sexy. I didn't think they existed! Glamour's column on "what shorts are right for you?" was actually really helpful. Imagine that!
