my long weekend
Jul. 5th, 2005 10:23 amLet me just say, it was lovely.
I scheduled pretty heavily, because
mrpet is away - I thought if I was busy, I wouldn't miss him as much, which was somewhat true.
Friday I had dinner with
an_gadhar, which was nice. Then
michellemybell stopped by for a brief visit.
The following morning I got together with
7j. We had a lovely time, even beyond the food. We watched Bewitched, which was really fun - better than I was expecting. There was also assorted naughtiness. before and after the movie.
Anywho. Sunday I spent some time with
redjo. We chatted about upcoming plans for parties and a short trip to Maine. Then I went to take a naaaap. It was a good nap.
chillguru picked up our extra wireless card, which apparently works for them, even though it didn't work with my new laptop. And I got a call from my sister, which was nice.
Sunday night
starkeymonster came over. There was knitting and cuddling. Monday - more knitting and cuddling. Some cooking. Then, in the afternoon we got a ride to the beach, and spent the next many hours sitting on the beach, eating good food, and hanging out with our friends. Oh, and the sparklers! The sparklers were so fun! It had been years and years since I played with sparklers.
tisana got a picture of me playing with one. Also,
darxus took a picture of us lounging on the beach. If I get those pics and they turn out well, I will post them.
I had bought a new beach cover-up a few days ago, and yesterday was the first time I got to use it for its intended purpose. It was awesome. It is pink and has small sequins on the front. It was extremely comfortable, offered some sun protection, and allowed air flow. Perfect. If anybody else is looking for one, I got mine at Tibet Arts in Porter Square, and they had many other styles and colors that were also quite attractive.
All in all, it was lovely. I'm feeling very happy and relaxed.
To-do projects for this week - make a new roommate flyer, and register my business with Somerville City Hall.
